17. Modal Verbs
● When verbs are used in modal verb combinations.
● The 2nd verb is not conjugated, but rather left in the infinitive form.
● You would never say “no puedo nado.”
● ir + a + infinitive (going to do something)
● poder+ infinitive ( are able to do something)
● querer + infinitive (want to do something)
● deber + infinitive ( to have to do something)
● soler + infinitive (to be accustomed to)

When two adverbs modify the same verb,
only the second one uses the -mente ending.
Note that the first adverb uses the feminine
singular form of the verb.
