Examples: The family was in the park yesterday. Adriana was in the school last week They were not (weren`t) home last week
Questions and short answers Examples:  Was Emily the youngest of the family? Yes, she was Were the classes boring yesterday? No, it weren’t.  They were very interesting
READING: James:  when I was much younger, I was really naughty (or so my mother says). I was the youngest of the family and I was very outgoing and very noisy . In fact, I still am! Now I’m in high school and I like studying and school, but I wasn`t  very happy. The classes were boring and the teachers weren`t  very patient I was a little lazy but I’m not now. Now I think I`m really hardworking.
