THE LOOP -- Uber is getting into the food delivery business.
Starting Tuesday, the hungry and too busy in the Loop and River North can have their lunches
delivered using the UberEATS feature on their Uber smartphone app, traditionally used to hail rides.

2. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every weekday, Uber drivers who traditionally use their cars to take people
from one part of Chicago to another will deliver one of two meal choices priced $9 to $13 each plus a
$3 delivery charge.
During those hours, these drivers will be dedicated to delivering meals and won't carry passengers.
"We'll bring your lunch to you if you don't have the time to get it yourself," said Qiana Curry, who
has been driving for Uber since December, and delivered sandwiches from Rick Bayless' XOCO
during a test run Monday.
Chicago will be one of four cities with the service that promises lunch in less than 10 minutes.
It already exists in Los Angeles and Barcelona, and New York City is also getting it Tuesday.
