CITIZEN Accountability Voice Citizen centric policies PHED Technical support agency
Maharashtra adopted out of box innovative approaches -Sant Gadge Baba Cleanliness competition in 2001 -Yashwant Gram award (good governance award to villages) in 2004 -Tanta Mukt Gaon (quarrel free village ) awards in 2005 - O&M incentive grants -Eco village grants – outcome based grants – 2010. Capacity Building of LGs
Villages with 100% HH tap connections emerged (more than 100) ODF villages (more than 6000) Active women participation decision making in about 50% new schemes User fee concept established and accepted Higher capacities of LGs to undertake other development functions also.. Some Outcomes …

Maharashtra adopted out of box innovative approaches -Sant Gadge Baba Cleanliness competition in 2001 -Yashwant Gram award (good governance award to villages) in 2004 -Tanta Mukt Gaon (quarrel free village ) awards in 2005 - O&M incentive grants -Eco village grants – outcome based grants – 2010. Capacity Building of LGs
  • 8. Villages with 100% HH tap connections emerged (more than 100) ODF villages (more than 6000) Active women participation decision making in about 50% new schemes User fee concept established and accepted Higher capacities of LGs to undertake other development functions also.. Some Outcomes …
