(57) Abstract :
Plasma expressor manual top and bottom is an equipment used for separating plasma and buffy coat removed red blood cells. It is
useful for all types of blood component bag top and bottom as well as top and top blood bags. It is a mechanical device, which exerts
uniform pressure on the blood bags during the separation of components. The mechanism has a handle attached to it which can be
hooked while inserting / removing the bag. After centrifuging, the bag is placed between the pressure plate and expressor body of the
equipment by unlocking the pressure plate. When handle is unhooked, pressure is applied on blood bag which express the components
into their respective satelite bags, It can be used to make LR red cells which have lot of clinical advantages. Until now LR_ red cells
could be separated by only by automated expressor which is costly and requires maintenance. This manually top and bottom expresorc
is cheaper than it automated counter part and no maintenances is required as no electrical components are used in this device. Because
of these advantages, it can be used widely in place of conventional manual expressor so that LR- red cells become easily available.

The present invention is a process for removal of arsenic by oxidation of arsenite to arsenate by an oxidizing agent and subsequent
precipitation by coagulation with an iron based coagulant in the presence of a common chemical which maintains optimum pH of the
water during the treatment and in the treated water. The method can remove As to much below the maximum contamination level of
0.01 mg/L from an initial concentration up to 0.5 mg/L using only very small quantities of the chemicals. If the water contains
dissolved iron then an additional quantity of the oxidant has to be added to the water. The pH of water remains within acceptable
range for drinking. The present method is a very low cost method. The method does not add any contaminants to water. Instead, this
method lowers the concentration of unwanted heavy metals present in the water. Also, as one of the chemical is a mild disinfectant
and as coagulation takes place during the separation, the water is safe from any bacteriological contamination.

The present invention is a novel illumination apparatus for the endoscope which enhances the accuracy of the diagnosis of the disease.
It relates to a system which comprises of specific wavelength multi colored LEDs for transmitting desired light through the endoscope.
This particular LED enhances the optical image technology by employing the light absorption characteristics of hemoglobin at a
specific wavelength. It is based on the phenomenon that the depth of the light penetration depends on its wavelength. Also blue light
induces excitation of cells in sub - epithelial layer and there by generates auto fluorescence in them which enhances the contrast
between the normal and abnormal tissues. It provides a low cost, high performance, low heat, compact and reliable linear light for the
illumination of the object through the endoscope. This is achieved by removing mechanical rotary wheels carrying several colored
filters.

(57) Abstract :
Light trap having insect sorting filters (FIG.1) can be used for insect monitoring or mass trapping. It consists of a light covered with a
protective roof having reflective surfaces, a funnel to direct attracted insects towards first porous apparatus which accommodates
similar apparatuses on its body. There is second apparatus which covers all the previous apparatuses and contains a light inside it. A
stand supports this light trap unit. The light lures the insects towards it and these get collected into the porous apparatus. The light
existing inside the apparatus starts attracting the trapped insects towards it and thus insect sieving and grading takes place as per
insects body size. The parasitoids being smaller in body size get separated out and may be released back in the fields. The separated
harmful insects can be killed. The newly invented light trap will prove an important tool in insect management.

(57) Abstract :
The present invention provides novel porphyrin derivatives represented by the general formula 1 and /or pharmaceutically acceptable
derivatives thereof as NIR sensitizers for photodynamic therapeutic and diagnostic, biological and industrial applications. These
porphyrin derivatives posses absorption (400-700 nm) and emission (600-750 nm) in the regions where biological chromophores do
not absorb and hence are ideal candidates for application as NIR PDT agents and fluorescence sensors for medicinal applications in
biology. The substituents like hydroxyl and glycolic units on these dyes render them amphiphilicity thereby improving their solubility
in the aqueous media and cellular uptake and localization. These dyes show no toxicity in the dark and are highly selective towards
tumor cells and stain nucleus very rapidly. Accordingly, these porphyrin derivatives are extremely useful as NIR PDT fluorescence
sensors in photodynamic therapeutic and diagnostic, biological and industrial applications.

This invention relates to a single layer high temperature oxidation resistant coating comprising of Alumina or lime, silica and
carburizing compound in powder form and the process for preparation thereof comprising the steps of, (a) preparing the ceramic
coating by appropriate mixture of powdered ceramic constituents based upon oxide and carbon based ceramics of suitable chemistry;
(b) preparing a paste/ paint like suspension of the mixture prepared in step (a) by mixing a fluid containing another ceramic
constituent such that the paste/ paint like suspension remains fluid for a short duration having desired setting time; (c) applying the
paint like suspension immediately over polished surface of a component for further heat treatment with the help of brush to yield thin
coating over it; (d) applying the desired heat treatment on the components by charging into a high temperature furnance having air as a
medium so that the coating liquefies at the treatment temperature, remains adherent with component and does not allow any
alternation in the chemistry of component being treated by decarbisation, carbisation or nitridation etc.

(57) Abstract :
A generator (100) includes a generator winding (103) and an excitation winding (104), and a field winding (102). To converge an
output voltage of the generator winding (103) to a target, a field current is varied by increasing/decreasing an energization duty ratio
of a switching device (110) connected to the field winding (102). In a duty ratio zero determination unit (2) and a duty ratio zero
continuation determination unit (3), when an output duty ratio continues for a predetermined time with duty ratio zero, a duty ratio
increase amount restriction unit (4) restricts an upper limit of the duty ratio to a predetermined upper limit when the field current
increases. A duty ratio restriction unit (21a) for restricting the duty ratio by a maximum value determined based on a voltage of a
smoothing capacitor (113) in place of the determination of the duty ratio being zero may be provided.
