The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel in London that has become a top tourist attraction. It is 443 feet tall and has 32 air-conditioned capsules, each representing a London borough, that can hold up to 25 people. One revolution takes approximately 30 minutes. The wheel was constructed in sections along the Thames River and raised into place. It has been the site of New Year's Eve fireworks displays since 2005.
