The reason for giving this advice is that if your animal were to injure some-

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – AIM NOTIFICATION

Compliance. The Irish Shows Association will make it a condition of entry
into Shows that only cattle for which a valid Certificate of Compliance is
provided to the Show Secretary will be allowed to be shown on the day of
the Show.
Certificates of Compliance can be obtained from a number of sources
including online from the Animal Identification and Movement (AIM) sys-
tem through the www.agfood.ie facility, from DVOs or from the Cattle
Movement Notification Agency. When applying for a Certificate of
Compliance, Keepers should not specify a destination herd.
Ultimate responsibility for providing this Certificate lies with the Exhibitor.
T.B.
All animals must come from herds, which are not restricted, and the herd
and relevant animals must have had a clear test within the previous 12
months. No pre-movement test is required for TB. However, it is recom-
mended by the Department that a 30-day pre-movement for TB should
apply to all shows.

All animals must come from herds which are not restricted.
Certain animals (i.e. females aged 2 years and over and bulls aged 2 years
and over) must have passed a test for brucellosis within the previous 60
days. However, these animals may move to any number of shows within
the validity period of the same 60-day pre-movement test.
Identification
All cattle must bear double plastic tags as issued under the Department’s
identification system. They must be accompanied by their passports
Definition of Exhibitor Bred
An animal is defined as Exhibitor Bred if the prefix of the animal is that
registered to the Exhibitor and the Exhibitor was the registered owner/joint
owner of the dam at the time of birth and registration. An animal born as a

  • 11. IMPORTANT INFORMATION – AIM NOTIFICATION The CMMS4 forms have now been replaced by a new Certificate of Compliance. The Irish Shows Association will make it a condition of entry into Shows that only cattle for which a valid Certificate of Compliance is provided to the Show Secretary will be allowed to be shown on the day of the Show. Certificates of Compliance can be obtained from a number of sources including online from the Animal Identification and Movement (AIM) sys- tem through the www.agfood.ie facility, from DVOs or from the Cattle Movement Notification Agency. When applying for a Certificate of Compliance, Keepers should not specify a destination herd. Ultimate responsibility for providing this Certificate lies with the Exhibitor. T.B. All animals must come from herds, which are not restricted, and the herd and relevant animals must have had a clear test within the previous 12 months. No pre-movement test is required for TB. However, it is recom- mended by the Department that a 30-day pre-movement for TB should apply to all shows. Brucellosis All animals must come from herds which are not restricted. Certain animals (i.e. females aged 2 years and over and bulls aged 2 years and over) must have passed a test for brucellosis within the previous 60 days. However, these animals may move to any number of shows within the validity period of the same 60-day pre-movement test. Identification All cattle must bear double plastic tags as issued under the Department’s identification system. They must be accompanied by their passports Definition of Exhibitor Bred An animal is defined as Exhibitor Bred if the prefix of the animal is that registered to the Exhibitor and the Exhibitor was the registered owner/joint owner of the dam at the time of birth and registration. An animal born as a result of embryo transfer is deemed Exhibitor Bred if at the time of the embryo collection the donor female was in sole or joint ownership of the Exhibitor.
