2. ISSUES
• 4-5 ongoing projects
• Each of them has a liaison office in
KTM on top of field based/districts
offices
• Country office in place at WFP with
1 person (don’t expect more)
• Many issues at project
level, transversals
(finance, procurement, M&E, KM, et
c…)
• Regular workshop to sort out these
issues
• Repetition of trainings due to high
staff rotation

3. PROPOSAL
• It is therefore propose to establish a
joint support unit (JSU)
• All KTM offices together in one place
• Each project funding one or several
positions in this place
• Offices kept for project manager when
on mission in KTM
• Projects to fund running cost of the
office including vehicles and
computers.

4. PROPOSAL
The IFAD/MOF Joint Implementation
Support Unit (JISU), will have the
following tasks supporting all IFAD
funding projects:
• Improve fiduciary management
(financial mgmt, accounting
• Improve M&E in ongoing projects on
results and impacts and monitoring
COSOP
• Improve KM and communication in
projects, wider audience
• Get involved in implementation
support mission and supervision
missions.
