Native Functionality: Web to Lead Idealist Consulting: Contact Page Web to Lead functionality provides a link between your website and Salesforce, allowing contact information entered on the site to be input into Salesforce as a Lead. Various tasks and assignments can be created based on a new Lead. Please click the image below to view Idealist Consulting’s Contact page, which is a Web to Lead form.
Idealist Consulting: Service and Support Native Functionality: Web to Case Web to Case functionality works in much the same way as Web to Lead, but rather than creating a new Lead, a Case is created. Cases can be used in many ways, their use is only limited by imagination. It could be used as a help desk, survey tool, question answer and so on. Please click the image below to view Idealist Consulting’s Service and Support request page, which is a Web to Case page. In this example it allows clients utilizing our Service and Support to contact us directly detailing work they need done.
NCOA, Gulf Clean-up, Starbucks: Aging to Oil Spills to Coffee Native Functionality: Salesforce Ideas Salesforce Ideas is functionality allowing supporters to interact with your organization via your website. Supporters or staff can list ideas, and people vote and comment on them, typically with action in mind based on the outcomes. Each of the organizations below, National Council on Aging (Salesforce Ideas deployment by Idealist Consulting), Gulf Clean-up and Starbucks are using Salesforce Ideas to interact with customers and supporters, allowing information to be relayed en mass from your constituent base.
CMS: Constituent CRM Access Third Party Solutions: CMS Integration There are a number of CMS (Content Management System) options available. The three with the most developed integrations with Salesforce are Joomla!, Drupal and Plone. A CMS is a platform that allows creation of a website, without coding. Basically, they let people who aren’t coders or developers build dynamic websites utilizing “clicks, not code”, very much in the same way that Salesforce allows you to change your database without requiring developer skills. The three listed below are some of the biggest CMS players, and definitely provide the best Salesforce integration options. They are also, by the way, all free and open source. There are communities of developers behind each, and each has different interfaces and levels of usability.
Third Party Solutions: App Integration RCSN: Event Management Several solutions exist allowing event management capabilities that integrates with Salesforce, ActevaRSVP and Eventbrite among them. Resources for Children with Special Needs uses Acteva to track attendance to their training classes. Attendees simply click the links on the RCSN website, fill in their contact information and submit, and that information is transmitted to Salesforce and tracked by each individual event. Some solutions, Eventbrite for one, also include paid events.
Lincvolt: Clean Fuel Technology Native Functionality: Salesforce Sites Lincvolt, an effort from Neil Young to create clean fuel technology, is a website and database built entirely within Salesforce Sites. Sites is basically a combined CRM/CMS. Rather than needing a separate CMS to create and maintain a website, the CMS is created and housed within Salesforce CRM. Instead of changes requiring going through the backend of a CMS like Joomla! or Drupal, website changes are made from within your Salesforce instance. Please click the link below to view the Lincvolt website, keep an eye out for Web to Lead forms and Ideas.
