1. In case my name came out of the randomiser during the third session, I planned to just talk about how we try an promote the skills associated with Business & Enterprise in our school. It is a whole school reward system that we developed. I’ve then given a few examples of how the MFL department has got involved. alison.smith@sthelens.org.uk

6. Tied the Challenge in to the college reward system

9. Theme in Sacred Time.

10. Special events take place in Departments or across school.

11. When a pupil demonstrates the skill they get their planner signed and pick up a postcard.

12. Each post card is worth 5 House points . Pupils place the postcard in the prize box.

13. Prize draw for each House at the end of each half term.

15. MFL and the B&E Challenge Quiz night German Exchange pupils (K/S4) – Confidence The visit from our partner school usually ends with a football match (no prizes for guessing the outcome). Last year, our students organised a quiz night for the first evening of their trip. It was a great way for everyone to get to know each other.

16. MFL and the B&E Challenge Tourist Guide with 9set6 – Communication Our school is in the unusual position of having it’s own B&B on site. This means we come in to contact with a lot of tourists. A Year 9 group made a Welcome brochure for French visitors with information about the venue and the local area.
