According to data from the State Chamber of Registration, there are
1,614 enterprises with individual and legal entity status and 12,470
peasant farms, performing activities in various fields.

2. LOCAL PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION IN
SUPPORTING AND DEVELOPING LOCAL
BUSINESSES
Attraction of domestic and foreign investments by:
 Supporting the implementation of strategic investment projects,
organizing round tables, trainings;
 Providing consultation and training in initiating and developing a
business;
 Guiding and supporting young entrepreneurs;
 Taking into account entrepreneurs’ opinion when approving
administrative decisions, related to economic policy;
 Promoting domestic entrepreneurs’ products by ensuring their
participation in exhibitions and fairs.

3.  Within the BCIS – provision of qualitative services, based on the
identified needs and requirements, maximum assistance to beneficiaries;
 Travel of the mobile team to the village requested by the mayor and
according to the timetable of visits planned in advance.
These lead to:
 increased access to quality information and services;
 less time, money and effort spent to find relevant information and access
services;
 the first sittings of the BCIS were held in January 2011;
 so far, as many as 1,920 beneficiaries were provided with information and
services;
 Hence, over the BCIS period of activity, citizens’ appeals to the
president of the district dropped down by 43%, and petitions submitted
to various institutions reduced by 12%, compared with the same period
of 2010.

4. PNAET is a programme addressed to young persons, aged
between 18-30 years, willing to develop their business skills, to
launch or to extend a business in rural areas in the farming or
production fields, by this creating new jobs.
Granting credits in the maximum amount of up to
MDL 300,000
(refund period – maximum 5 years); 40% of the credit is offered as
grant
As many as 21 credits in the amount of MDL 5,460,000
were offered to support the initiation of businesses
creating 74 new jobs.

 Migrants returned from abroad benefited from reintegration
and assistance services. Grant size: EURO 1,000
Beneficiaries: 5 persons in the amount of MDL 70,000
 “Developing entrepreneurial activities of young people from
rural areas.” Grant size offered as equipment: EURO 2,000
Beneficiaries: 8 persons in the amount of MDL 210,000

7. PROJECT “MICRO ENTERPRISE
DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY: JOBS FOR
YOUNG PEOPLE” (MEDA J4Y)“FINANCED
BY THE ARGIDIUS FOUNDATION AND
IMPLEMENTED BY
WINROCK MOLDOVA IN 2011-2013
Grant size: - USD 2,500
Main objective – to promote and facilitate the employment of the youth, by
developing entrepreneurial activities.
 Entrepreneurial training courses on developing business plans and
starting up businesses.
 15 grants to start up and expand businesses, in the amount of MDL 345,000 .

3 businesses benefited from the grant in the amount of MDL 665,000 –
the largest part of the funding was used to expand businesses:
 LLC “Casa Iepurilor,” village of Ciulucani, Popa Roman -
breeding rabbits – acquisition of hutches;
 PF “Gaina Petru,” village of Chitcani, Gaina Petru -
currant, gooseberry – hail net;
 LLC ”Zmuvinadorvic-Metal,” village of Negureni, Zmuncila
Victor – wrought iron processing equipment.

 SME – a major component of the economy, requesting less
means for starting up, creating new jobs, increasing the country’s
GDP, easy to administrate.
 Doing a business today rather means to be able
to contact people, to gain and maintain
customers.
