3. There’s not much to tell
really...... As you can
see, I’m just a horse.
4. Apparently......I was orphaned by my real Mum. She was nice but
I think she had too many spectators and got pissed off and left
me.
So.....my owner at the time kept me alive.
She thought I was ugly. But she played with me LOTS!! I learnt
how to run and chase her, I even kicked a ball around.
But as I got bigger, she got rid of me.
I spent a year and a half in one small paddock doing NOTHING!!!
When people came in my paddock, I loved it, I could chase them,
rear at them and even try to bite. That was fun, but they didn’t
get me, so I got smacked with sticks. I was just two.
5. Then my luck changed – I was sent away to be started. A lady who
knew what she was doing worked with me every day. She said I
was going to have a lot of potential.
But then back in the paddock after two weeks.
I killed a fluffy sheep one day.......
Now people really don’t like me.
Then....one day a man with grey hair and his daughter turned up
to see me.
I showed him how big I was on two legs....but he just stood there
and continued to work with me So I stood there nicely. He was
quiet, patient and I liked him. He left, then his daughter and him
came back and got me a week later......
6. And here I am, living on a
farm in a place called
Gore, south island NZ. My
name is Banjo.
7.
8. She is learning how to teach
me....and I’m teaching her.
ALOT.
9. Goal for her:
•lose this tie down!!
•just ride me with no BIT!!
(But we are still working on that)
