According to a survey of technology class participants: 40% felt overwhelmed by the volume of available technology and their limited understanding; 33% were concerned about a lack of time to learn new technologies given other school requirements; 27% were frustrated by hardware issues like only having 3 of 8 classroom computers functioning properly. Participants noted roadblocks to using technology more such as limited time during the school day and not enough working computers.

“I’m frustrated though, there are so many things I want to do, but there are
ROADBLOCKS. The primary roadblock is the fact that I have eight student
computers in my classroom, but only three are useable right now.”
Time Concerns:
“The tools/resources that have been utilized thus far are interesting and useful
but consume a massive amount of time in regards to learning the ins and outs.
During the school day, when is there time with the various other requirements
posed by schools?”
Overwhelmed:
“I’m learning a lot first and foremost. I do feel somewhat overwhelmed by the
volume of technology available and my limited understanding of it.”
