begins from Haridwar, you can reach to Haridwar from Dehradun, which has the nearest airport only at a distance of 35 km, and
Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi is the nearest airport. From Dehradun you can hire a cab or board to bus or
train. You can reach Haridwar by road and train easily. It is connected through all the big cities.
The best time to visit here is May – June and it would be better if you reach before 8 pm because driving is not allowed after it
due to the hilly region. First, we reach to “Haridwar”, according to Hindu rituals and tradition, Haridwar is a place where the
cremation ashes of the people are flown to the river Ganga. There are five pilgrimages, including Haridwar in Hindu tradition
with "Gangadwar" (Har ki Pauri), Kushawart (Ghat in Kankhal), Bilwa Tirtha (Mansa Devi Temple) and Neel Parvat (Chandi Devi
Temple).
“Har ki Pauri” is a place, where the Ganga Aarti ceremony is performed at the dusk by thousands of priests and thousands of
tourists witnessed this ceremony, this experience is much, much more spectacular from anything else, the light of the lamps and
the sound of the ceremony make you feel heavenly. After the ceremony the pilgrims float the Diyas make the scene spectacular.

3. The “Mansa Devi temple” is situated on the Bilwa Parvat, the temple Goddess believes to fulfil the wishes of
pilgrimages and that’s why its name as Mansa Devi. And the major attraction for the people is the cable car. “Maya Devi
temple” is one of the Siddh peeths where the heart and navel of the Goddess Sati had fallen, this temple is standing
along with the Narayani Shila temple and Bhairav Temple.

The “Daksheswara Mahadev Temple” is an ancient temple in the Kankhal town, this temple is said to the place where
Goddess Sati self – immolated herself in the Yagna kund. The kund is said to be here. The “Chandi Devi Temple” is

6. After visiting Kedarnath next morning drive to reach Badrinath for approximate 40 km Rishikesh enrouted. So that you
can reach before time, it takes 9 hours drive so it is going too late. So this evening you can enjoy the trail in the hills and
next morning visit to the “Badrinath Temple” for darsana, the temple has an idol of Lord Badrinaryan made of black
stone. The image was found in the Alaknanda River, according to the legend.
After visiting Badrinath, the trip leads to Gangotri the source of River Ganga, is at a distance of 430 kilmeters and only
accessible from the road.

7. “Gangotri” is a town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi in the Greater Himalayan ranges, at an altitude of 3,100
metres. The source of the river Ganga and seat of goddess Ganga is named as Gangotri. The origin of the holy river is
from the Gaumukh and set in the Gangotri Glacier.

8. After visiting to Gangotri, the trip followed by “Yamunotri”, drive for 130 kilometres. It is situated at an altitude of 3,293
metres. The sacred shrine is the source of Rive Yamuna and dominated by Bandar Poonch Parvat. The temple is
devoted to goddess Yamuna. Close to the temple there is a hot water spring known as Surya kund where the devotees
cook the potatoes and rice tied within the cloth and offer to the deity and then take it as Prasad.
