The Houghton Lake Public Library held a stuffed animal sleepover in September 2013. Various stuffed animals of different sizes arrived to spend the night having fun activities like reading, games, snacks, storytime, crafts such as coloring and making paper bears, singing songs, and puzzles. At the end of the night, the stuffed animals got sleepy and were tucked into bed as the library said goodnight to them and thanked them for coming to the sleepover.

2. ONCE UPON A TIME………
all the animals in town were invited to
spend the night at the library.

3. THEY ARRIVED ONE BY ONE, ALL READY FOR
FUN……..
Some very LARGE!
Others a bit smaller……
But all were well loved, that you
surely could tell…..

4. SOME ARRIVED EARLY AND READ,
OR PLAYED A GAME,
WHILE THEY WAITED……

8. GOODBYES WERE SAID, AND HUGS WERE
GIVEN…….

9. No peanut butter for these two,
they are allergic!!

10. A game of Monopoly, some had a
snack…the fun was just beginning!
I love apples!!

each other!

12. THEN…… OOOO-WEEEE! THE FUN
BEGAN!

13. Rosie stopped in to
say “Hi” to our new
friends!

snacks, too!

and matching
letters…so much
to do at the
library!

17. Some couldn’t resist a munch on
the fruit in “The Very Hungry
Caterpillar” pop-up book!
Yucky, paper doesn’t taste so good!
