Since 1975
We, Hyundai Lifeboats Co., Ltd, are the only
manufacturer and supplier of lifeboats in Korea
now, being very proud of our performance
records accumulated in good shape last 20 years.
Realizing how important to meet in full ranges
the requirements and satisfactory of our
customers, we are endeavoring to improve all
aspects, such as safety, quality, services as well as
price, all in competitiveness.
In addition to our main product of lifeboats, we
are also planning to go in sea leisure industry to
meet new demands of the world market.
We will do our best to overcome our limit and
satisfy our customers with the best quality and

3. History
Mar. 1975 Establishment of subsidiary company of Hyundai
group, named ‘Kyung-il Ind. Ltd.’ and production of
the GRP sail yachts and open-type lifeboats
Jul. 1982 Kyung-il Ind. Ltd. was combined with Hyundai
Precision & Ind. Co., Ltd., as a subsidiary company of
Hyundai group
Jul. 1982 Production of fishing boats and patrol boats
Feb. 1983 Production of the GRP totally enclosed lifeboats under
the technical license with Mulder&Rijke B.V. in the
Netherlands
Apr. 1988 Production of GRP 44’/49’ motor yachts for U.S.A.
Jul. 1999 Production of GRP free-fall lifeboats
Nov. 2000 Establishment of Hyundai Lifeboats co., Ltd. and
succeeding Hyundai Precision & Ind. Co., Ltd. to
specialize lifeboats
Jul. 2001 Moved factory to Onsan National Industrial Complex

7. GRP Free-Fall Lifeboat
Free-fall system is a fast and safe way of escaping from a vessel. Our design takes up a minimum of deck space
and can be launched even from heights of up to 18.7 meters.
