The Sabra and Shatila Massacre  (16 September 1982) This article is regarding Jerusalem, one of the oldest cities in the world, its history and the Sabra and Shatila Massacre, one of the Major Israeli Conflicts.  
Today, Jerusalem is at the center of a great political controversy which affects not only the Jewish people and the Muslims and Arabs in the region, but Christians as well thus engulfing a major part of the globe. The Sabra and Shatila Massacre  (16 September 1982)
The Crusades were launched in Jerusalem which lasted for nearly two hundred years. The primary objective of the series of Crusades was to recover the Holy Land from the growing influence of Islam. The Sabra and Shatila Massacre  (16 September 1982)

As lot of hate simmered between the Lebanese Christian and Muslim groups, the Phalanges (the Lebanese Christian Groups) attacked the Muslim refugee camps assuming that the killers were hiding in those camps. The Sabra and Shatila Massacre  (16 September 1982)
The Israeli Kahan Commission released its findings of the massacre and attributed full responsibility of the massacre to the Phalangists (under the command of Elie Hobeika). The Sabra and Shatila Massacre  (16 September 1982)
In the same year (1982 CE), an independent international commission headed by Sean MacBride (b. 1904 – d. 1988), the former Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs, investigated the Sabra and Shatila massacre to determine the violations of Israel with respect to international law during its invasion of Lebanon.
