 The Beginning of Puma The Dassler family owned a shoe factory. After school, brothers Adolf and
Rudolf helped their father in managing the business. In 1924, Rudolf Dassler and Adolf Dassler
named the factory Gebruder Dassler Schuhfabrik (or Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory in English). It was
in 1939 when one of the most popular sportsmen, Jesse Owens has been sponsored by Dassler
brothers. An established sports icon, Jesse Owens had helped the brothers in advertising and
marketing their products.


 From there on, the brothers became occupied in sponsoring other national team sports, with
thousands of pairs of sneakers sold every year. The Breach Between Adolf and Rudolf In 1948, a
hiatus between the brothers had developed during World War II when both of them joined the Nazi
Party. While their growing relationship in the party is becoming solid, the brothers turned to be distant
to each other until they have parted ways. When they are in halves, each of them established their own
company. Adolf formed his own company in the name of Adidas; while Rudolf created the Ruda
Company (Rud for Rudolf, Da for Dassler) that later renamed into Puma. Both of them were very
successful, and the town was left divided wholesale mac makeup by their footwear products.

  The Boom of Puma Since 1990, Puma has conquered the American sports especially in basketball
and football leagues. The most notable and best-selling shoe of the company is perhaps, the Puma Sky
II hi top trainer which was first launched in 1982. and lo tops versions; but most of the NBA players
turned on to Sky II high tops. Puma Sky II hi top trainers are designed with synthetic soles and textile
lining. At present, Puma has grown their workers up to 10,000 employees with distributors of more
than 100 countries worldwide. Along with Adidas, Puma is ranked as the most in-demand and
sought-after brand with millions of revenue every year.
