2. Audience feedback
Survey monkey
This programme was used a lot throughout my planning, this is because it
enabled me to constantly receive feedback from my target audience. I crated
surveys to find out the opinions of my target audience. I would then be able to
act on these opinions, for example edit the sections of my production they felt
were less effective, and improve or leave the sections they felt were appealing
and conventional. This was a great technology to use for questionnaires as it
enabled me to publicly share the questionnaires on social media sites such as
Facebook and Twitter which increased the amount of responses I received.
Without survey monkey my production would most likely have been less
successful as I would have been limited to less opinions about what was
aesthetically pleasing and therefore my production would have suffered.
Padlet
Padlet is another way I received feedback, it helped me improve my production
through the research and planning stages in ways survey monkey couldn’t.
Survey monkey could reach a wide audience but however the majority of the
questions were closed questions therefore I wasn’t getting detailed responses for
audience feedback. However Padlet ensures everyone leaving feedback
leaves a comment, resulting in me having detailed information about how to
improved my product.
3. Presentation methods
Microsoft Word
Word was used successfully to present a range of important information
throughout my research and planning consisting of; shot list, script, risk
assessment and the production plan . This was an easy to use technology but
provided benefits of the information being detailed and also visual as I was able
to insert images.
PowerPoint
PowerPoint helped me upload images on to my blog, as I was able to save my
drafts as a JPG format through the technology and then I was able to upload
them as an image. PowerPoint also enabled me up create slide shows
throughout my research, for example I used PowerPoint to present the
information I had found about Andrew Goodwin’s conventions of music videos
theory.
4. Sound Software
Sound cloud
I used sound cloud to upload an interview I had with two
individuals who fitted my target audience, I interviewed
them about what they would expect to see in a pop
music video. Without sound cloud the voice recording
may have lost quality, demonstrating the importance of
these piece of technology.
Clip converter
This enabled me to quick and easily take music and
videos from YouTube, for example the Taylor Swift music
video I analysed, as this then allowed me to upload these
MP3 files on to iMovie where I could then edit the videos
on.
5. Video Software
Animto
I used this technology to create visual information from my research and
audience feedback findings, this enabled me to summarise quickly and easily
but in an effective manner the conventions I had found through the research
and planning stages of my production.
