I. Affiliate marketing guides
All affiliate marketers look for ways to increase traffic to their websites. That's pretty much one of the
biggest parts of affiliate marketing, because the more visitors you receive, the greater your sales and
lead counts will be (provided that the traffic is targeted, of course).
Now there are probably hundreds of different methods you can use to boost your site traffic, such as
article marketing, blog commenting, guest posting, directory submission, and more. However, I'm going
to show you a traffic generation strategy that flies a little "under the radar". In this blog post I'm going to
show you how a simple Powerpoint presentation can drive boat loads of traffic to your site by
harnessing the amazing power of a website called Slideshare.
What is Slideshare?
Slideshare is a document sharing website that specializes in slideshow presentations (namely
Powerpoints). It's quite similar to sites like Scribd and Docstoc, in the sense that anyone can come along,
register for free, and start submitting their presentations.
As you can see, Slideshare provides an innovative and attractive interface for sharing presentations.
However, you can also upload regular PDFs and Word Documents as well (although in my experience,
these do not perform as well as dedicated Powerpoint presentations)
Why Use Slideshare?
So you now know what Slideshare is - but why should you bother using it in the first place?
Slideshare presentations tend to rank extremely well in Google, especially for long-tail keyword phrases
(and those based around "product name" or "review" style keywords, which as any AffiloBlueprint
member will tell you, are very profitable). For example, here are just a couple of examples of Slideshare
presentations ranking really well for competitive, long-tail phrases that have great buyer intent:

2. As you can see, Slideshare makes it possible to get great rankings for some difficult terms. One of the
coolest things about Slideshare is that they are also much more lenient (at least at the moment) towards
allowing members a little bit of self-promotion, when compared to other Web 2.0 sites like Hubpages.
This means that you can place links back to your own website or squeeze page, and not have to worry
too much about them being taken down. However, you should still strive for high quality content that
offers lots to your readers!
How to make a Powerpoint for Slideshare
To make a Slideshare presentation, you will need Powerpoint, or a suitable alternative program that
allows you to make slideshows.
The most important step is keyword research. Basically, you want to find niche terms in the same
manner that you would for writing articles or adding content to your own site. If you're stuck for
suitable keyword ideas and want to jump into Slideshare marketing, then simply target "product name +
review" keywords. So for example, if the product you are targeting is called XYZ, then your main
keyword would be "XYZ Review".
Once you've got a main keyword set up for your Slideshare presentation, it's time to start creating your
presentation - here's a quick crash course:
Your title slide needs to feature your main keyword, as well as a link back to your site. It also pays to set
an attractive Powerpoint template - avoid the boring "all white" background approach.
Creating the presentation content
Perhaps the most difficult part of Slideshare marketing is actually creating your presentation content.
You've researched your keywords, and you've got a title page and design all set up. However, writing for
a Powerpoint presentation is very different to writing a blog post or article. Here's what you need to
keep in mind:
• Write using clear, concise bullet points - this will allow viewers to skim-read, and allow you
to use the largest possible font which improves readability.
• Repeat your main keyword (and suitable variations) regularly
• Use lots of images and graphics where possible
• Add links back to your website or squeeze page regularly
The easiest way to get good at writing content for slideshow presentations is to write them regularly.
Aim to create at least two presentations per day, for the next month. You will see a big increase in traffic
from this alone (and it probably won't take you any more than 30 minutes work per day)
When your presentation is finished - and remember to add a strong call-to-action right on the last slide -
make sure you save your slideshow as your main keyword. So if your keyword is "XYZ review" then your
slideshow should be saved as something like "xyzreview.pptx"
Optimizing your Slideshare presentations
The last thing I'm going to cover with you today is optimizing your Slideshare presentations for upload
You will have to select your file to upload. Once it has finished uploading you can edit the "Title" "Tags"
and "Description". The most important here is the 'Title" field - this needs to reflect your main keyword
and be interesting and inviting to clicks. What you select here has a direct impact on your search engine
rankings.
Under "tags" you just need to enter a few relevant keywords, and the "description" field is where you
provide a brief explanation of the content of your presentation. These are similar to the Meta Keywords

3. and Meta Description information of a normal web page, and getting these optimized properly can
improve your results.
II. Affiliate marketingstrategies
Affiliate marketing is a low-cost
way for merchants to build
awareness and showcase their
products and services. The model
is simple; it works as a
commission-based referral
system. A partner or affiliate
markets a merchant's products
for a "piece of the pie."
Affiliate marketing experts often make an income that can tally over five figures
per month, however only 1 to 5% of thousands of marketers achieve this level.
When an affiliate reaches this elite level they are often referred to as a "super"
affiliate.
How does one become a super affiliate? Can anyone do it? Super affiliates have
common tactics that they embrace and put into place. Anyone can become a
super affiliate, but it will not come without blood, sweat, and a hefty time
commitment. The typical super affiliate possesses the following traits:
Persistence
Patience
Thirst for Knowledge
These three traits combined with the following strategy gives you the formula for
the makings of a "super" affiliate.
1. Find a Unique Niche

4. The mistake that many affiliate marketing hopefuls have in common is that they
try to offer everything under the sun rather than focusing on a specific niche
market. Do not scatter your efforts, focus on your niche, promote it, and sell it
well.
2. Search Engine Marketing
Once you've built your affiliate storehouse you will need to promote it. Many
affiliates use pay-per-click engines. I suggest that you learn how to achieve organic
search results or hire a search engine marketing company. This will save you from
spending all your profits on pay-per-click engines. Only use pay-per-click engines
if you know what you are doing, otherwise all your profits may end in the hands of
Google Adwords or Overture.
3. Know Your Product, Know Your Audience
Create a resource. By taking the time to learn about the products and/or services
that you are offering you can create information that builds your credibility. That
credibility builds trust. If your viewers do not have trust in you more than likely
they will not purchase from your storehouse. If you want more information on the
psychological process that an online buyer goes through I suggest that you read
my article on the Five Levels of Internet Marketing and the Sales Process. This will
help you in creating a web site that converts well, which in return will increase
your cash flow.
4. Don't Put All Your Eggs in One Basket
Promote products from different merchants. This way if you have a problem with
receiving payment from a merchant, or their products do not convert well the
effects on your business will be minimal. Watch out for exclusivity agreements;
remember this is your business. Protect yourself and diversify so that you do not
feel the famine effect if something goes wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong
with promoting niche products from different merchants.
5. Seek Knowledge and Embrace Change
Performance review phrases comments/ free download examples Page 4
5. If you are familiar with Internet marketing at all you know that what worked three
months ago may not work today. Stay on top of the trends. Seek knowledge, start
by learning something new about affiliate marketing daily. For example remember
those marketing tools called "banner" that use to drive sales at an astronomical
rate a few years ago? Well those banners developed a term called "banner
blindness." That means most online viewers will not click on banners even if they
do pertain to what they are looking for. To be a "super" affiliate you must always
spend time reading, learning, and embracing the changes in Internet marketing.
6. Don't Give Up
It's hard to do, and most of the time those dabbling in affiliate marketing give up
way too soon. Monitor your statistics, watch to see what is working and what is
not. Make changes when necessary. Do one thing daily to promote your storehouse
and be patient. Before you know it you will start getting payments.
Remember that it will not happen overnight. Encompass and develop the
persistence, patience, and knowledge. Then follow the tactics I've mentioned
above and you are on your way to becoming a "super" affiliate.
