The A&E department at the Countess of Chester
Hospital and the Pharmacy team at Bowmere Hospital
now have access to a real time, read-only summary of
the GP record from 22 GP practices using EMIS
software in Western Cheshire.

obtain summary information from GP practices. With
EMIS Web they can access information without
needing to chase GP practices.

This month three INPS practices join the NHS Cumbria
project.

Next steps

    A timetable will be produced, which shows either an
    hour or half hour slot for each supplier (depending on
    numbers of participating suppliers) to have a Webex
    to answer queries on the presentations posted on the
    respective websites.

  • 1. Using EMIS Web to enable the sharing of clinical information across care settings
  • 2. Integrated urgent care solutions The EMIS solution puts essential patient information at the fingertips of clinicians working in urgent and emergency care, 24/7.
  • 3. Seamless integration By giving clinicians a secure read-only view of patients’ GP records across the locality, urgent and emergency care teams have all the information they need:  to make accurate, timely decisions  to act efficiently, without chasing for information  to improve patient outcomes.
  • 4. Case study: NHS Cheshire The A&E department at the Countess of Chester Hospital and the Pharmacy team at Bowmere Hospital now have access to a real time, read-only summary of the GP record from 22 GP practices using EMIS software in Western Cheshire.
  • 5. Case study: NHS Cheshire This system reduces the time it takes for clinicians to obtain summary information from GP practices. With EMIS Web they can access information without needing to chase GP practices.
  • 6. Case study: NHS Cheshire EMIS’s solution enables multiple vendors to operate together to achieve data sharing. This month three INPS practices join the NHS Cumbria project.
