Healing the Children is a national organization that uses volunteer
medical providers to help children in mainly third-world countries
who need but cannot obtain medical care. One of the current
efforts of Healing the Children is to provide hearing care to the
children of Guatemala. Ear specialists and audiologists donate
their time and skills to several hundred children twice a year.
Alejandra is one of those children. This is her story.
