A high need to build in process to ensure lower defects, faster delivery and tools adaptability as the supply chain
was largely driven on legacy environment and dependent on key people
There was a decentralized multi-technology finance systems support environment (including PeopleSoft
Finance and HR, Mainframe, Tandem, Oracle and Java), which was heavily dependent on key skilled people;
Low process maturity leading to a high backlog of tickets
Enterprise Reporting and Data Warehouse spread across a set of different systems i.e. 7 data warehouses
and 2 reporting platforms. Complex environment, high tickets volume, low process maturity and volatile staff
led to high cost of support and lack of knowledge retention
Supply chain applications primarily based on a non-scalable legacy platform (Tandem and Mainframe)
High cost of license and handling due to 7 different data warehouses.
