2. During the decade of the 1930s “swing” music became
popular. Benny Goodman and his orchestra were
known as the “King of the swing”

happening fast and frantic dance music like boogie-
woogie or jitter-bug was listened too.

popular singers. Punk Rock was also popular.

such as Run DMC and the Furious Five were
influenced by Americans.
8. Britpop was a style of music in the 90s as it influenced
the USA and Europe. The most successful bands are:
Radio-Head, Blur, Spice-Girls, Oasis, Pulp and Massive
Attack.
9. Most youths now listen to all of these such as McFly,
Celine Dion, Olly Murs, Flo Rida, Cold play, Snow
Patrol, Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Adele, David Geutta,
Nicki Manaj, Taio Cruz, The Script, DEADMAU5 and a
few more to name. R&B (Rhythm and Blues) Is the
most popular.
11. In the 60’s People would listen to music through a juke
box or an LP.
The only way music was portable was in an LP. You
could carry these to a friend's house and listen to them
there.
Since the 30’s fashion in music has changed from punk
style to normal style everyday clothing.
In the 1900’s radios weren’t around so you could not
listen to music in the car if you had one.
