Newspapers are publications containing news, articles, and advertisements printed on inexpensive paper. By 2007, there were over 6,500 daily newspapers worldwide selling almost 400 million copies daily. However, the growth of online news and recession led to declining circulation and many papers closing. National newspapers in the UK include The Sun, Daily Mail, Guardian and Times while local papers serve specific areas. International English newspapers also exist online and newspapers remain an important sector though adapting to changes.

• Camden news journal-The Camden New Journal is
a free, independent newspaper that covers the
London Borough of Camden. It was born out of a
strike in the 1980s supported by campaigning
journalist Paul Foot, Holborn and St Pancras MP
Frank Dobson and the paper's editor Eric Gordon. It
carries significant influence locally due to its high
news content, investigations and high readership.

wholly owned by Richard Desmond).

music
• The press are worried because people are not
buying newspaper and are going online and
getting all the information, this bad as they people
are getting all the information for free and not
buying the newspaper, leading the press loosing
money.

imaging, most newspapers have pictures on their
adverts and most newspaper article have pictures
to support their evidence.
