Opening idea 1
There is a flash-forward of Tommy downing a bottle of pills with him narrating the scene outlining how has got to that point. After this
we go back in time to a scene of him lying in bed alone being woken by a loud alarm. The credits begin to roll as we are taken through
his daily routine.
Opening Idea 2
We start with Tommy leaving school when he is approached by a large group of boys who try to provoke him but he just takes it showing
that he has become used to it. On his way he walk past an off license where they have a big sign for the lottery jackpot and decides who
he has nothing to lose and decides to buy one not thinking anything of it at the time.
Opening Idea 3
There is a black screen and we can only hear a lottery program going on in the background. It then smash cuts to a living room where
Tommy is sleeping on the couch while the program is going on. The room is very messy and the sun is shining through the curtains onto
him. He wakes up by falling off the couch and the credits roll as he gets ready to go for school.
