BBC world serve is the worlds largest international broadcasting company. It is
available in 28 languages, It has been reported that about 180 million people tune
in on a average week. It broadcasts to many parts in the world via analogue and
digital shortwave, Satellite, FM and MW relays. BBC world service is commercial
free. They are currently Funded by Grant-in-aid, from the foreign, common wealth
and the british government. The world service currently does broadcasting in a
house in London.

The license fee that BBC has is used almost entirely to fund their domestic
television, radio and internet services. The money they received represents about
75% of the cost of these services, with help from BBC worldwide the profit they
make made the remainder of the money.

to the Radio and television they put out many big screens located in several
central city locations. The foreign and commonwealth office are owned by the
BBC so they can do BBC monitoring which they can use to monitor their

Commercial radio is the process of broadcasting television and radio programmes
by privately owned corporate media as apposed to state ownership. Commercial
broadcasting is based on the practice of airing radio and television adverts for
profit. This is to compare to public broadcasting, which receives government
subsidiaries and avoids to pay most of the advertisements.

National commercial radio
There are three big groups that dominate the local and regional sector. There are
over 250 in the UK. Mostly using DAB and FM frequencies.
Classic FM use about 100 FM and they play Classical music.
Absolute radio mostly played in the morning, about 1215 waves used and they play
Pop and rock music.
talkSPORT Also mostly played in the AM, use about 1053 -1089 and they talk about
whats been happening in the sports side of things.
