2. SMART MATERIAL is a generic term for a material that in some way reacts to
the changing environment.
Types :
Passive smart materials
Active smart materials
3. How to can we make conductive fibres ??
#by coating them with conductive materials (carbon, etc)
#by coating them with conductive polymers or metals.
#Fibres can be spun with thin metallic and plastic conductive
threads.
4. Metallic threads-
Thy are very thin metallic filaments.
They are produced by bundle drawing process or shaving
off from a edge of a thin metal sheet.
They may also be used as electrodes for monitoring
electrical physiological activity such as electrocardiogram
(ECG) signals.
Conductive Inks
A layout can be screen-printed using conductive inks to
add conductivity to specific areas of a garment.
Printed areas can be subsequently used as switches or
pressure pads for the activation of circuits.
