A food chain shows how energy and nutrients move between organisms in an ecosystem. It shows how organisms obtain energy from food and then transfer it to other organisms that eat them. A food web is more complex than a food chain and shows how various food chains interconnect as many organisms consume more than one type of animal or plant. The document provides instructions for students to draw and label their own representations of food chains and webs using available drawing programs and computers.

computer.
2. Choose animals you want to incorporate in your food
chain and food web.
3. Start drawing your animals using the paint or any
drawing program. Make sure to label each animal.
4. Place the corresponding arrows, as well as your names.
5. Save the file using the filename: Grade and section_last
name1, last name 2, last name 3.
