2. Merchandise Idea Generation
• I have decided to create merchandise in order to promote my
campaign, to create this I have looked at merchandise from
charities which cover similar topics to me to see what thers is
like, I chose to look at charities that cover similar topics to
mine because they are likely to have a similar target audience
so this will give me an idea on what is successful and what is
most likely to appeal to my target audience.
3. WWF Merchandise
WWF recently worked with Sky to promote the
charity, this is one of the designs for the Tour De
France cyclists tops. Obviously I wouldn’t be able
to do this with my campaign but inspiration I
could take from this would be the use of their
logo as a main feature on the top. This would be
successful in making my campaign more well-
known because people would see it a lot.
This is screenshot of one of WWF’s normal tops, I
would take inspiration from this for my own merch
because of the colours- I like how they reflect the
themes of what the organisation covers i.e. khaki
colour relates to rainforest topics.
4. Greenpeace Merchandise
This is a piece of merchandise from Greenpeace, I
would take inspiration from this for my own
campaign because I think creating something like a
mug is different and unusual, and I think this would
appeal to my audience- it is another way of getting
the charities name out there.
This piece of merch also has the website one- this
would be a good way of getting the audiences to
visit the website to find out about what the name
on the mug is if they see someone with one. This
would also increase traffic to the website to make it
more successful.
Creating something like a mug is a good idea
because if some people wouldn’t want to wear a t-
shirt with a logo on they may feel more comfortable
to buy a mug- this would be good for my campaign
because it would give my audience options.
5. Greenpeace Merchandise Continued…
This is Greenpeace’s t-shirt, even
though I will probably take inspiration
from this as far as stating the name of
the charity goes, I would like to make
my t-shirts more interesting than this
as it just states the name of the
charity and nothing else- it doesn’t
even feature a more interesting or
eye-catching logo, and I want mine to
be interesting so that they are eye-
catching which will help both my
charity and individual campaigns draw
in a bigger audience.
