Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health
Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Over 60% of Emirati nationals suffer overweight and this number is predicted to increase.
Here I will talk about the reasons for obesity. One of the reasons is lack of exercise; especially here in our country because of the high weather temperatures people spend most of their time at home rather than outdoor activities.
Also, the traditional way of our food and dress are playing a big role in this problem. For example, we as Emirate people we always have big meals parties with different kinds of food. Regarding traditional dress has a hand in this due to the wearing of loose such as: Abaya and dish-dasha. In addition, some people are suffering from obesity because of medical reasons, or genetically obese. And also I have to mention that the junk food is a contributing factor of obesity.
Here I am going to talk about the effects, and of course all of us know that the health effects of obesity. People who are overweight, they exposure to have many diseases easily, such us: ……………………..
There is no problem without solutions. So, here are some solutions for obesity problem. First, Do daily exercise, second, do balanced diet, third, avoid junk food, and finally ask for the doctor’s advices.
