Lake Constance is a lake on the Rhine River located at the northern foot of the Alps. It consists of three bodies of water - Obersee, Untersee, and a connecting stretch called the Seerhein. The lake is situated in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria near the Alps, with shorelines in the states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg in Germany, the state of Vorarlberg in Austria, and the cantons of Thurgau and St. Gallen in Switzerland. The Rhine River flows into the lake from the south along the Austro-Swiss border.
