Good Morning: Wednesday afternoon, October 15th, is the district professional development day. A staff member from Emerson Court will visit your school for the purpose of administering the Standards and Rubrics for LEA Improvement, Standards 2 and 3. The session is scheduled to begin 30 minutes after your dismissal. As the district moves forward with planning and implementation of Corrective Action goals with ADE, it is important that we use findings from the survey to help plan curriculum, instruction, professional development and assessment. I realize the district has used this survey in the past for our Blueprint for Student Success planning, and that some schools have recently re-visited the survey this year as part of your planning process. However, gathering district-wide data for Standards 2 and 3, at this time, will include input from of our 150+ new teachers to the district, as well as an opportunity to disaggregate the findings by grade level, special areas, ELD/Mainstream classrooms, SPED, and other sub-groups … in addition to providing data for each school.
