Step for Install IBM Tivoli Identity Manager 5.1
1. Install Websphere Application Server
2. Install Maintenance Fixes for IBM Websphere Application Server
3. Install IBM DB2
4. Configure DB2 Using the Middleware Configuration Tool
5. Install IBM Tivoli Directory Server
6. Install Maintenance Fixes or IBM Tivoli Directory Server
7. Configure LDAP Using the Middleware Configuration Tool.
8. Install IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator
9. Install IBM Tivoli Identity Manager

1. Install WebSphere Application Server
- Source : WAS 6.1 Windows C87QTML/launchpad.exe
- Select WebSphere Application Server Installation and click Launch the installation wizard
for the WebSphere Application Server

- Installation Wizard is starting


- At the Welcome Screen, click Next.

- Accept a license agreement and click Next


- At the System prerequisites check screen, click Next

- At the Install Sample Applications screen -- > Do not select Install the sample applications,
click Next.


- At the Installation Directory screen -- > Leave the Default, click Next

- At the Enable Administrative Security screen - - > Do not select Enable administrative
security, Click Next.


- At the Installation Summary screen - - > Please review the installation Summary, Click Next

- Please wait until successfully


- Once the installation successfully, click finish


- The first step console will be pop-up,please wait and at The first step console - - > click
Installation Verification


- Once the installation verification complete, close the window.


- Stop the server at the First Step console

2. Install Maintenance Fixes for IBM Websphere Application Server
- Source : 7.0.0.3-WS-UPDI-WinIA32/UpdateInstaller/install.exe


- Installation Wizard is starting

- At the Welcome Screen, click Next


- Accept the license Agreement and click Next

- At the System Prerequisites screen, click Next


- At the Installation Directory screen - -> Leave the default value and click Next

- At the Installation summary screen - - > Please review installation summary and click Next


- Installing, Please wait.

- Once the Installation successfully, do not select Launch IBM Update Installer for Websphere
Software on exit and click Next


- Copy file : 6.1.0-WS-WAS-WinX32-FP00000025.pak into the maintenance directory
<WAS-Home>/UpdateInstaller/maintenance

- Navigate to the UpdateInstaller directory <WAS-Home>/UpdateInstall and click update.bat


- At the Welcome screen, click Next

- At the Product Selection screen - - > Leave the Directory Path defaults value and click Next


- At Maintenance Operation Selection screen- - > Select Install Maintenance Package and
click Next

- At the Maintenance Package Directory Selection screen - - > Leave the default values and
click Next


- At the Available Maintenance Package To Install screen - - > select 6.1.0-WS-WAS-WinX32-
FP00000025.pak and click Next

- Performing Prerequisites check, please wait.


- At the Installation Summary screen - - > Please review Installation summary and click Next

- Installing, please wait.


- Once Installation Successfully, click finish.


3. Install IBM DB2
- Source : Extract v9.5fp3b-nt32-server.exe and click server/setup.exe

- At DB2 Setup Launchpad console - - > Click Install a Product and Click Install for DB2
Enterprise Server Edition Version 9.5 Fix Pack 3


- At the Welcome screen - - > click Next

- Accept the license agreement and click Next


- At the Select the Installation Type screen - - > select Compact and click Next

- At Select the Installation, response file creation, or both screen - - > select Install DB2
Enterprise Server Edition on this computer and click Next


- At the Select the installation folder screen - - > Leave the default directory and click Next

- Enter the Username & Password and click Next


- At the Configure DB2 instance screen - - > Ensure that DB2 Instance is select DB2 and click
Next

- Do not select Prepare the DB2 tools catalog and click Next


- Do not select Set up your DB2 server to send notifications and click Next

- Do not select Enable Operation System Security and click Next


- Review Installation Summary and click Install



- Once setup is complete, click Next

- At the Install additional products screen - - > click Finish


4. Configure DB2 Using the Middleware Configuration Tool
- Source : CZ459ML_timv5.1_Middle_configure/cfg.itim.mw.exe

- Starting the Middle Configuration tool


- At the Choose which products to configure screen - - > select Configure IBM DB2 Universal
Database and click Next

- Enter the values to complete the form and click Next


- Review the Configuration options and click Next

- Please wait.


- Once the configuration successfully, click Finish


- In case configure by Middleware Configuration Tools is not success, It’s can configure by
manual.
o db2 create database itimdb using codeset UTF-8 territory us
o db2 connect to itimdb user db2admin using P@ssword
o db2 create bufferpool ENROLEBP size automatic screensize 32k
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using logsecond 12
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using logfilsiz 10000
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using applheapsz 2048
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using app_ctl_heap_sz 1024
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using maxfilop 256
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using locklist 5000
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using auto_runstats off
o db2 update db cfg for itimdb using database_memory 40000
o db2 alter bufferpool IBMDEFAULTBP size automatic
o db2 disconnect current


5. Install IBM Tivoli Directory Server
- Source : C1N9VML_TDSv6.2_win_Client-Server_entitlement/tdsV6.2/tds/install_tds.exe


- Select language and click Next

- Please wait for launch the Installation Wizard


- At The application have been identified screen - - > click Next

- At the Install Directory screen - - > Leave the default and click Next


- At the Choose the installation type that best suits your needs screen - - > select Custom and
click Next

- At the Select the features screen - - > select the check box for the following applications :
o C Client 6.2
o Java Client 6.2


o Web Administration Tools 6.2
o Proxy Server 6.2
o Server 6.2

- At the Select the Websphere Application Server for deploy screen - - > select Detected
Websphere Application Servers : and click Next


- Review the Installation Summary and click Next



- Once the Installation Successfully, click finish


6. Install Maintenance Fixes or IBM Tivoli Directory Server
- Source : 6.2.0-TIV-ITDS-Win32-FP0001/6.2.0-TIV-ITDS-Win32-
FP0001/ITDS_Full/install_tds.exe

- Launch the Installation wizard


- Select language and click OK

- Please wait for the Welcome screen


- At the Application have been identified screen - -> click Next

- At the Select the features screen - - > click Next


- Review the installation summary and click Next



- Once the installation successfully, click finish

7. Configure LDAP Using the Middleware Configuration Tool.
- Source : CZ459ML-itimv5.1_Middle_configure/cfg_itim_mw.exe


- Select Language and click OK

- At the Choose which products to configure screen - - > select Configure IBM Tivoli Directory
Server


- Fill the value to complete the form and Next


- Review the configuration summary and click Next

- Configuring, please wait for a few minutes.


- Once the configure successful, click finish

- Verify LDAP is configured by Middleware Configuration tool complete.


8. Install IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator
- Source : C1IF0ML_TDIv7.0_Identity_edition_win/launchpad.exe

- Select Language and click OK


- At the Welcome screen - - > select Install IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator and click Tivoli
Directory Integrator 7.0 Installer

- Please wait for launch Installation Wizard console.


- Click Next to search for previous ITDI Installations.



- At the Install Directory - - > Leave the default value and click Next

- At the Choose the installation type screen - - > select Typical


- Leave the default values for the ports number, click Next

- Do not select Register the Administration and Monitoring Console as a system service and
click Next


- Review the installation summary and click Install



- Once the install successfully, do not select Start the configuration Editor and click finish

9. Install IBM Tivoli Identity Manager 5.1
- Source : CZ3A4ML_timv5.1_base_win/instwin.exe
- Select language and click OK


- Review the license and click Next



- At the Directory screen - - > Leave the default and click Next


- Choose the Single WebSphere Application Server and click Next

- Click Next


- Select AppSrv01 and click Next

- Fill the values to complete form and click Next


- Select IBM DB2 Universal Database and click Next

- A pop-up window indicating requirements will appear. Ignore the message and click
Continue


- Enter the Keystore password and click Next

- Select Install Agentless Adapter on IBM Tivoli Integrater and click Next


- Leave the default Directory Integrator Home Directory and click Next

- Leave the default Tivoli Common Directory Location and click Next


- When the preinstallation summary window appears. Click Install. It may take up to 15
minutes for the installation to complete.

- Please wait while installing.


- When the IBM Tivoli Identity Manager Database Configuration window appears, insert the
following values and click Test.
o Host Name : localhost
o Port Number : 50000
o Database Name : itimdb
o Admin ID : db2admin


o Admin Password : P@ssw0rd

- The window should indicate that the test was successful, click Ok

- The bottom of the window will now require Identity Manager user information. Enter the
values and click Continue.
o User ID : itimuser


o User Password : P@ssw0rd

- A pop-up window will appear requiring LDAP Server Information. Enter these values and
click Test
o Principle DN : cn=root
o Password : P@ssw0rd
o Host Name : localhost
o Port : 389


- A window should indicate that the test was successful. Click OK

- Enter these values in the section that requires information for the Identity Manager
Directory Information and click Continue
o Number of hash buckets : 1
o Name of Your Organization : MITS
o Default Org Short Name : MITS


o Identity Manager DN Location : dc=com

- A pop-up window will appear requiring System Configuration information. Enter these
values and click OK
o Identity Manager Server Base URL : http://192.168.80.128:9080
o Mail From : admin@mits.co.th
o Mail Server Name : Localhost


- The installer will take up to 20 minutes to finish. Once the installation completes click Done


- Open start > Programs>IBM Tivoli Identity Manager 5.1 > IBM Tivoli Identity Manager


- The Web Browser will opened and Log in
o Username : itim manager
o Password : secret

- You will prompted to change the password. User P@ssw0rd for the new password. Click
OK. The ITIM Administrative console will be presented


- Successfully for Install ITIM 5.1
