2. The Industrial Revolution that began in Great Britain spread to other nations and altered the fabric of many
societies. The communists killed nearly 240 million people to install communism. On the other hand,
capitalists killed only 147 million people. Therefore, capitalism was advertised as a better option. While
communists tried to liquidate the ruling classes with the barrel of a gun, capitalists tried to liquidate poorer
classes through life threatening poverty, depravation, and starvation. Meanwhile, nearly 5 billion peace
loving citizens across the world have to live through a variety of political and economic catastrophes kindled
by capitalists and communists with covert agendas for extreme levels of political domination.
While Henry Kissinger’s foreign policies and shady diplomacies have steadily eroded the American nation’s
dignity in international political circles, the hazy financial activities of the executives of Enron have damaged
the brand image of corporate America in the European hemisphere. Interestingly, when Enron’s ethical
bankruptcy was being investigated, the White House was dragged into the fray. Surely, orthodox statesmen
like Theodore Roosevelt would not have liked such associations.
The Institute of Public Policy expressed the view that at least 20 American government agencies had assisted
Enron in overseas expansion projects in developing countries. Investigations have revealed that even the
World Bank had a hand in the Enron projects. This suggests that tycoons, capitalists, and business executives
can carefully manipulate the American government machinery through the White House administration.

President Eisenhower was of the opinion that the forceful removal of democratically elected Marxist leaders
was justifiable and morally acceptable. The fear of conflict and war guided such foreign policies. In many
nations, the CIA has assisted in instigating uprisings to topple democratically elected communist
governments. In later years, the discomforting fear of communists drove President Richard Nixon and Henry
Kissinger to visit China and start a dialog.
The founding fathers wanted America to remain an irrelevant agrarian nation insulated from the vagaries of
European industrial politics or colonial hostilities. Unlike the rustic founding fathers however, Henry
Kissinger was an immigrant who entered American state politics. For Henry Kissinger, the philosophies and
moral uprightness of the founding fathers might have appeared queer. Like most other immigrants from
Germany, Henry Kissinger might have sensed that America’s working class heritage would eventually
restrain her political clout in the international arena. American Presidents in recent history had failed to
demonstrate sufficient intellectual sophistry. In fact, high levels of philosophical infirmity, ignorance, and
moral turpitude crippled America’s political elite.
Roughly over a period of three decades, the culture of incessant television viewing and corporate sponsored
consumerism had left middle class American society in a state of intellectual poverty. When ignorance began
pervading the White House, American politics began to be commandeered by newly arrived immigrants from
Europe. After Kissinger became sufficiently conscious of America’s cultural handicap, he set out to rewrite
foreign policy on a new slate. Kissinger might have come to the conclusion that a nation of factory workers
would require an operating political system that would be less ideological and more utilitarian. Henry
Kissinger seemed to have ascertained that American working class statecraft should be more about military
power and economic domination, and less about intellectual philosophy or moral conduct.
Between 1970 and 1974, Henry Kissinger and Richard Nixon began rewiring the logical circuits of American
foreign policy. Meanwhile, the reckless persona of Richard Nixon unnerved the Soviets. It made the Soviet

3. communists put their expansionist plans on hold. To the communists, Richard Nixon presented himself as
an American President with a bundle of nervous energy. More frighteningly, Richard Nixon seemed to be
perfectly capable of hitting the missile buttons in a fit of rage. However, under the menacing shadow of
Richard Nixon, the social congeniality of Henry Kissinger managed to broker peace with Soviet and Chinese
communists. After these events, White House officials and American capitalists volunteered in great numbers
to turn Henry Kissinger into a folk hero. To gain further attention in international diplomatic circles, the
bureaucrats tried to give Kissinger a towering political image. However, envious Democrats intent on
examining political issues in greater detail had found many of Kissinger’s foreign policies to be absurdly
unethical and meticulously devious.
It was Henry Kissinger who advanced the American fad of stockpiling weapons and intervening in third
world conflicts across the globe. In the last century, this began leading to perpetual hostilities between
America and many third world civilizations in South East Asia, South America, and the Middle East. Though
Henry Kissinger’s foreign policies helped America economically in the short term, the policies severely
damaged America’s political reputation outside the G-7 club. Eventually, the White House administration
lost the trust of many third world nations. The uniting of nearly 50 states and the nation of Israel had made
America too unwieldy for governance. In fact, Dick Cheney found out the hard way the American nation was
too unwieldy to be steered by a single President in the White House.
While the Renaissance in Europe had created an elite class of well bred citizenry with extremely broad
intellectual interests, America had failed to create such an intellectual class. America never nurtured an
intellectual class worthy of serious attention. The working classes who worked long hours in factories were
unwilling to become sufficiently erudite and scholarly. Therefore, America was never able to breed a critical
mass of philosophers who could intellectually overpower politicians, and restrain shortsighted policy makers
in the White House. This meant that the White House administration could run amok with savage military
power and hazardous state politics.
Soviet communism had made extraordinary efforts to bring art, philosophy, and literature within the reach
of the starving proletariat. Pierre Bourdieu, the French sociologist was of the opinion that activities
representing high culture are intentionally conceived to keep away the lower classes. The higher class
individuals were diligently tutored to appreciate classical music, opera, literature, and theater. On the other
hand, the lower classes were left to entertain themselves with heavy metal rock music, football, rugby,
hockey, cricket, and baseball.
Soviet communists had made attempts to acquaint the proletariat factory workers with the social elements
of high culture. As the Soviet communists wanted to narrow the gap between the social classes, feeble
attempts were made to teach classical music, literature, political philosophy, and ballet to the working
classes. In America, the exact opposite was done. Through casual indoctrination, factory workers in America
were made enormously suspicious of scholars, intellectuals, and the elite. This was done to keep communist
ideologies away from labor movements within America.
Due to the intellectual degeneration brought about by a robust Cartesian culture, America cannot be a
competent political world power in the twenty first century. At most, America could be a nation feared for
her savage military capability. Handicapped with working class roots, the political elite in America no longer
possess the intellectual sophistication needed to contribute to the growth of enlightened societies across the
world. No matter how hard they try, most American political leaders may not be able to acquire the artistic
finesse to be able to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine. In fact, conflict resolution in that

4. explosive region might require a team of extremely articulate French and British philosophers.
American Congressmen and citizens of the present generation have very little interest in foreign affairs. Their
minds are usually preoccupied with domestic issues. With a mainstream society that prefers to remain
uninformed about international issues, America cannot be a world power. In fact, if American Presidents who
are the products of a Cartesian culture try to lead the world through military posturing, they might
unintentionally become a serious threat to world peace.
Without sufficient moral and philosophical thought, American capitalism and American democracy have
both consistently endorsed the idea of conveniently benefitting at the unreasonable expense of others.
Political leaders and capitalists endorsing American preeminence consistently promote military conflicts that
can bring benefit to the American economy. The current generation of American politicians and corporate
executives insist on clinging to the view that any activity, including deceptive business contracts, unfair
trade, outright cheating, or military invasion can be justified if it benefits the American economy.
Policies of the White House and the Federal Reserve have often been influenced by sycophant bankers, oil
tycoons, and Wall Street investors. Historically, American businessmen who have endorsed free market
doctrines within America have actually sought the intervention of the American government while carrying
out international trade. The Rockefeller family is credited with getting prominent Republicans involved in
the oil business. While the George Bush family dived into the oil business, the deeply calculative Henry
Kissinger added oil stocks to his colorful career portfolio. Though these tiny events went unnoticed in the
global political arena, they actually made American politics and diplomacy highly business-centric and
notoriously crafty.
It was widely believed that crippling competing Japanese oil businesses would benefit the Rockefeller family.
Therefore, American politicians wished to promote wars in South East Asia and help the Rockefeller faction.
Meanwhile, military conflicts that could gradually weaken Germany’s financial superiority in Europe could
benefit the J.P. Morgan faction. To a significant extent, World War II was carefully managed to help the
Rockefeller and J.P. Morgan factions. Later, the infamous Vietnam War was lead by a powerful coalition
of American corporations, bankers, and lawyers. The Gulf wars were primarily lead by American oil
businesses and Republican politicians with one foot in the oil business.
Sometimes, with assistance from the military, American multinational corporations have attempted to annex
wealth uselessly lying around in South America, Middle East, and Asia. The Vietnam War and the Gulf Wars
were wars launched to protect American business interests in South East Asia and the Middle East.
Congressmen were mislead to believe that it was patriotic to support their President even in wars with
unethical motives. Perhaps, it may be unreasonable to expect a better level of enlightened consciousness from
the political class of an industrial society that is philosophically empty.
After the world wars, the White House began stockpiling exotic weaponry. This military capability was built
to intimidate Soviet communists who, in general terms, condemned colonization and imperialism. America’s
military posturing primarily blocked the spread of intelligent communistic opinions, while stealthily
advancing capitalistic imperialism. Until World War II, the American military tried to defend the political
prestige of the nation. After the world wars, the military began defending the economic interests of American
business corporations.
Senior American military commanders who were insulated from civilian society were kept in a state of

5. ignorance. In fact, the American military uniform became a symbol of human naivety. Regimental
brainwashing at military training camps was making sure that men and women in uniform were incapable
of independent thinking or rational inquiry. Military commanders and their loyal infantrymen were made to
believe that the miliary was honorably defending the American nation by fighting wars. In reality however,
the American military was fighting wars for capitalists and special interest groups with covert business
agendas. Even high ranking military commanders were unaware that a club of American business tycoons,
corrupt bankers, oil company executives, and weapons manufacturers were indirectly benefitting from wars.
In 1991, an American company engaged in the manufacture of jet engines was accused by Federal authorities
of defrauding the Pentagon and the state of Israel of $ 30 million while fulfilling a defense contract. With
the tacit approval of the White House administration, American weapons manufacturers have collectively
duped Arab nations by supplying them with weapons systems that are obsolete by a few technological
generations. In a clever trick, the more technologically advanced versions were supplied to Israel to provide
military superiority over the Arab nations.
Strictly speaking, common citizens, voters, and elected politicians in a democracy are responsible for the
actions of their governments. However, citizens and politicians are not so directly responsible for the corrupt
actions of multinational corporations. The politicians, policy makers, and the bureaucracy cleverly utilize
this loophole. They have multinational corporations brazenly engage in corporate imperialism that would
benefit the American economy. Over the years, many multinational American companies engaged in
international trade have been found guilty of global price rigging and price fixing. Such unfair trade practices
disproportionately benefit the American economy.
In the brand of corrupt capitalism tolerated within the American democracy, morality and public opinion
have became secondary. Right from 1925, the British Pound and the American Dollar began representing
money obtaining by exploiting third world nations. One segment of the American economy became a parasite
that was trying to live off wealth annexed from South America. Throughout history therefore, most nations
in South America have remained defenseless against European colonialism and American imperialism. With
stealth and cunningness, America’s business fraternities have built an invisible financial empire over South
America.
Unfortunately, the America’s Cartesian democracy does not have the philosophical mechanism to restrain
White House politicians with unethical agendas. Therefore, the intellectually deprived Cartesian culture
within America should be a matter of grave concern for the international community. America needs to be
quickly unshackled from her Cartesian factory worker heritage. Intellectualism and moral metaphysics needs
to be infused into the American culture as quickly as possible. If America is allowed to continue on the
existing trajectory, American capitalism driven by her Cartesian heritage might become a threat to world
peace. America has managed to nurture a politically ignorant scientific community that could spearhead
weapons research programs without being provoked by a moral conscience.
Wars essentially represent state supported violence. There is nothing honorable about warfare or military
aggression. The military is just an establishment devised by the government for use by the ruling aristocracy.
The soldier in the military is willing to trespass into a foreign territory and engage in manslaughter on behalf
of the political elite. In America, Robert Oppenheimer might have been the last nuclear scientist to have
exhibited moral scruples before reluctantly equipping America’s political elite with outrightly dangerous
ammunition.
