Goals Provide prospective students with on campus atmosphere Student/Student Interaction Teacher/Student Interaction Provide information Sports Academics Everyday life PROMOTE IOWA WESLEYAN COLLEGE

Blogs Could use services such as Blogger, Wordpress, etc. Students can post “diaries” Teachers can use for homework (Dr. Price) Great for other user input While blogs are a great tool, they may be becoming obsolete (How likely is it that someone signs onto blogger and looks for an Iowa Wesleyan College blog) A similar idea could be implemented into our website
Blog built into iwc website Students/Faculty could log in with school email and post to a blog on the website Could also comment on posts Have a problem with campus? Post it, and see how many feel the same way Only registered faculty/students could post, however it would be open to public Gives prospective students, parents, and alumni an idea of what is going on around campus
Much more efficient form of blogging Short and to the point Students can voice quick opinions Announce events Updates in sports Tweets can be directed Twitter is no longer the future, its happening now All organizations have Twitter accounts and IWC needs to make sure they take full advantage

Show the campus Facilities Students Staff Athletics Outside Campus Events Good tags and descriptions so users can find Iowa Wesleyan Bring the campus to the user

FAcebook Can create groups for on campus activities Create events for both on and off campus events Promotes a sense of community Parents can keep up with the lives of students Facebook as an aggregator (Has other social media built in) Photo Albums (Flickr) Status Updates (Twitter/Blogger) Video Albums (YouTube)
YouTube does what photos cannot Could be utilized most for campus tours Prospective students may not have the money/time to make an actual visit VNR’s can also be published on YouTube to inform the public about Iowa Wesleyan Summer construction progress New teacher/coach introductions Teachers could publish video tutorials
www.iwc.edu More unique hits on our website may be difficult Most people come to the site for a reason, they don’t just stumble upon it New site and layout are well designed and visually appealing Information needs to be easy to find Other social media links need to be available
