7. Recent EAI Implementations by NewStar
Case Study - 1
NewStar’s EAI team is currently implementing a large integration project for a major
automotive company in North America. The scope of the project is real time
Integration of Order Management System (OMS, which is a J2EE based web
application) to IBM Mainframe system via CICS gateway and webMethods Enterprise
Server. webMethods is used as the middleware to translate the XML request from
J2EE application to CICS based transactions and process and request response
scenario via CICS transactions which invokes a native Natural program on the
mainframe. The Natural program will access data from Adabas database and process
the transactions back to CICS. The response is converted back to WebMethods CICS
adapter trigger and hence the real time integration is achieved.
Case Study - 2
A large Systems Integration project is being Architected, designed and implemented
Via NewStar’s offshore Development Center Hyderabad, India using Microsoft
BizTalk Server R2, SQL Server 2008, WCF and SharePoint Integration. Our delivery
team comprises of two strong BizTalk and WCF Sr. Developers and a Project
Manager for coordinating offshore activities with client functions and application
delivery to our overseas client in Toronto, Canada. This project uses extensive XML
and WCF based interfaces via BizTalk server and SQL Server Integration services
components (SSIS).
