[object Object],-66040117475These frames are from 9 different films I chose, which appealed towards me and the themes of my film. <br />Frame 1: This over the should shot is from the film “One Hour Photo”. I chose this shot as it reflected a certain shot used in my film. The shot expresses his true feelings of his own reflection, that in some way he is scared of himself, or what he has become. The body language and facial expression used in this shot helps the audience understand the character to the extent he is playing in the film. <br />Frame 2: This close up shot is from Richard Eyre’s, “Notes on a Scandal”, portrays that this character writes all their feelings a diary, as the cigarettes on the corner of the shot, signify that they are stressed, as people who smoke tend to smoke because they are stressed.  Having these two elements in the frame, show that she must spill her heart out in this diary of her’s, therefore it must hold many secrets, which links in with the title of the film. <br />Frame 3: This mid shot taken from the film “Obsessed” is pretty self explanatory. The picture indicates that the person who defaced the picture is ‘obsessed’ with the man in the picture. The cutting of the picture illustrates what weird behaviour can occur once you’re obsessed with someone or something, especially when you love that person. <br />Frame 4: This close up is from the title sequence of “SE7EN”. As it is a thriller film, it symbolises that genre by he shadows are surrounding the picture he’s cutting out, which shows that it must be getting done in secret as it looks dark and mysterious, the lighting compliments the genre very well. The precision, in which he is cutting the picture out, signifies he has a passion for this or a passion for the person on the picture. <br />Frame 5: This long shot from “The Crazies” signifies danger by the use of props (a knife). The use of lighting in the frame, indicates a spot light on the main attraction in the picture meaning the knife, the lighting makes the audience focus their attention on the prop, as if something will happen any minute which builds up tension, which is the main aim. <br />Frame 6: This close up shot taken from “Lesbian Vampire Killers” represents women to be stronger creatures rather than the soft stereotypes that we are meant to be seen as. The clear expression on her face signifies the sheer anger that’s built up, which is something that is not seen very regularly. <br />Frame 7: This shot is used from “28 Weeks Later”; the red filter used indicates danger within that scene, as red is a symbol of danger or trouble. The expressions of all the people in the scene compliment the red, and clearly show that something bad is happening as they are all trying to escape. <br />Frame 8: This long shot used from “Monster” expresses an atmosphere within one of the characters to be uncomforting but her facial expression, whereas the body language of the character in the background shows she’s trying to indicate something towards her. The uncomft in the frame also could be because of what the standing female is wearing; this could be tempting or distressing for the other female in the room. The shadowy lighting expresses that the female in the towel to be a shady character on the other hand it could portray the other character looking away to be vulnerable in that situation.  <br />Frame 9: This mid shot taken from the film “4..3..2..1” portrays women in a different light to what they are usually linked in with. The use of the gun in the photo and the woman holding it, clearly shows she is in control which makes her very powerful in this shot. The way in which she is holding the gun portrays her character to be confident and a strong built female. The setting is established by all the lights and buildings in the background therefore giving away it is a city. <br />These 9 frames were taken from my film “A Twisted Obsession”; I picked these particular 9 frames because they were the most peak moments within the 2 minutes of which we filmed. <br />Frame 1: This shot is the first scene you witness in our film, using this shot indicates to the audience some sort of romance that is going to occur, but the close up shot used expresses the passion on her face over this one person, the body language of her touching her hair shows the theme of love within the film. The monochrome and low key lighting used create an effect of mystery to know the identity of the lover. <br />Frame 2: This shot is from the first titles shown, we incorporated the Polaroid’s to link in with the Polaroid’s used in the climax scene. The effects incorporated within the text, helps to establish the genre of the film to be thriller, because of the sinister and mysterious transitions and exit of the text from the screen. <br />Frame 3: This close up shot used is effective because of the movement of the camera to be un-steady; it gives the effect as if she is being watched, and that Leanne is actually holding the camera and recording her. This movement of the camera expands the theme of the film towards the audience. The close up shot signifies that Leanne likes her face; the monochrome used again details her facial features whilst the high key lighting in the background shows its daylight meaning they were out together at the time. <br />Frame 4: This long shot is taken from the next major scene in the opening; the shot effectively shows that the female in frame 1 is in fact a stalker as she pursues her victim. The shot also establishes the setting of the stalker behaviour to be an estate, which signifies she’s following her home. Once again the use of monochrome helps to notice the key lighting; also it still carries the mysterious effect on the audience. The transitions in the scene are very effective as there were three takes, the most effective one was the jump cut used to show that she was stern on stalking her. <br />Frame 5: The mid shot used within the final scene of the opening sequence, shows her obsession to gone outrageous as the audience can see all the pictures everywhere. The body language of the character expresses that she is deeply in love, as she touches the pictures with such care that it’s turned her crazy. The change from monochrome to the red filter signifies a change with firstly location and then the mood of where the opening is going towards. The red filter also gives a sense of a ‘black room’ where photos are developed in addition to the association of red with danger, love and passion. <br />Frame 6: This close up shot of the picture really focuses on their relationship; you can clearly see from this picture that they have a strong and close relationship. On the other hand, you can see that Leanne is gripping onto the picture, which suggests that she can’t let go of her love for Toni, and that she really cares about her. <br />Frame 7: This mid shot helps for the audience to see everything in the location, meaning all the pictures on the wall, the writing on the walls, to understand how far this obsession has gone. The way the character is placed in the frame, shows her frustration of her new love, the audience can really gather her feelings through this frame, by the way her head is down in shame and just being upset and confused. <br />Frame 8: The final titles that appear in the opening sequence is the title of the film “A Twisted Obsession”, the effects used on the title are identical to the other titles, we ran the effects throughout the entire opening sequence to re-enforce the genre of the film. The only difference in this title was there weren’t any Polaroid’s, which focused the audience’s attention more into the title. In addition whilst the final title was rolling, a voice over was put in, the sentence being said was a minor enigma code, that gave the audience an idea of what was going to become of the plot, which created suspicion and a tense atmosphere.  <br />Frame 9: The final frame in the climax of the opening sequence shows Leanne looking at her own reflection, by her facial expression she is clearly done with feeling upset, on the other hand the ruined makeup on her face portrays her to be a vulnerable, weak and sensitive woman, in the way she reacted. The ending of the opening sequence with this frame, leave the audience to believe she is on some sort of mission in her confusion over her friend being just her friend or more. <br />
