There are certain types of songs that are accepted by people belonging ti certain social layers. Those songs are never being presented on the
radio or TV, but they express in the most explicit way the moods and feelings of that social class. Henrik Arevshatyan, who is the author of this
song used to be one of the most well known Yerevan singers and composers of 1950s in that genre.

56. Grigor Khatchatryan burst into the public arena in the mid-eighties with performances and actions. They
parody the systems are gratified and even glorify the individual. Ceremonies with awards, speeches and
statements are the instruments of a personality cult devoted to the artist by the artist. Grigor Khatchatryan
is the hero of this special machine to make social identities that the person to evade a character reduced to
a body and a name. Deprived of meaning and history, the artist is more than a product to market.
Critical and caustic, with a taste for the absurd and comical situations, Grigor Khatchatryan was also the
director of a serious literary magazine (Garoun) from 1987 to 1996 before assuming the artistic director of
a TV channel alternative until 2002. It then performs a large number of films dedicated to Yerevan and its
