Deloitte International.
Deloitte in the Netherlands is part of an international network of some 165,000 people in
142 countries. Together they have made the name of Deloitte synonymous with professionalism,
top quality and integrity. In providing auditing, tax, consulting and financial advisory services,
Deloitte seeks to be the standard of excellence, worldwide. Matters such as professional quality
management, risk management, professional expertise, marketing and the coordination of
strategic issues are shared across the global organization.
Standard of excellence: Vision 2010
Deloitte’s objective is, by the year 2010,
to be recognized by a broad group of
stakeholders as the standard of excellence.
To this end, we seek to be first choice of
clients and talented potential employees.
To clients, Deloitte’s attractions should lie
in our full-service concept and prominent
position in many different markets. To
talented potential employees, our culture,
eminence and diversity will be important. To
achieve our goal, we will need to strengthen
the links among Deloitte member firms
worldwide, increase the number of our
professionals in key markets in Europe and
Asia, build greater engagement with our
people (a potential source of sustainable
competitive advantage), and build the
leading brand in professional services.
The goal and the vision of becoming the
standard of excellence is not something
we see as a separate challenge. Rather, we
consider it part of the powerful business
planning processes that are evident
throughout our organization. Pursuing this
goal will be a continuing activity alongside
future planning activities at all levels – firm,
discipline or sector.
People and clients
Deloitte professionals provide an extensive
package of services worldwide. Our audit,
tax, consulting and financial advisory
services allow us to thoroughly analyze
market developments. We discuss matters
with clients so that we remain informed
about the challenges they face and are able
to find solutions promptly. Professionals
from different disciplines work together to
reach and implement innovative solutions.
This collaboration increasingly takes place
across national borders, partly so that
we can achieve our ambition to become
the standard of excellence. The clients
of Deloitte member firms are varied and
prominent. We provide services to 80%
of the organizations in the Global Fortune
500. We also work with major national
companies, public authorities, regionally
important clients and fast-growing
international firms.
Structure and organization
“Deloitte” is the brand under which tens
of thousands of dedicated professionals in
independent firms throughout the world
collaborate to provide audit, consulting,
financial advisory, risk management and
tax services to selected clients. These firms
are members of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu,
a Swiss Verein (“DTT”). Each member firm
provides services in a particular geographic
area and is subject to the laws and
professional regulations of the particular
country or countries in which it operates.
DTT helps coordinate the activities of the
member firms but does not itself provide
services to clients. DTT and the member
firms are separate and distinct legal entities,
which cannot obligate the other entities.
DTT and each DTT member firm are only
liable for their own acts or omissions, and
not those of each other. Each DTT Member
Firm is structured differently in accordance
with national laws, regulations, customary
practice and other factors, and may secure
the provision of professional services in their
territories through subsidiaries, affiliates
and/or other entities. As a member of DTT,
Deloitte Netherlands is able to call on the
huge intellectual capital offered by the
many thousands of Deloitte employees
around the world.
Financial Results 2007 – 2008
The aggregate Deloitte member firm
revenue increased by 18.6 percent in U.S.
dollars, and 13.0 percent in local currencies,
to US$27.4 billion.
In the past year, Deloitte grew by
approximately 15,000 people with
considerable growth in the emerging
