Valley Cemetery
By: Chong Group members: Kristle, Horace,
Raymund and Keona
2. What was the most interesting
thing about the Happy Valley
Cemetery
The most special thing we saw was that there
was graves broken by the wind or broken
because they were too old in the Cemetery.
3. What was the 2 most special things about
the Happy Valley Cemetery
The were lots of foreigners that worked in the army, most of
them died between 1800 and 1900 because the foreigners
wanted to take China’s land. The other special thing about the
cemetery was that we found a grave with a poem on it, the
person that died on that gravestone with a poem was Rachel
Richards.
4. Something that shocked us
in the Cemetery
We found another big part of the cemetery that was full
of Chinese people and had a big church in the middle
for people to pray with.
6. Questions about the
Cemetery
Did the British people who owned Hong Kong at
1800-1997 want the people that worked at the
cemetery to separate all the races?
Why did they block the other big part of the Cemetery?
Did the people that worked at the Cemetery
want to work at the Cemetery or did they have
no choice and were forced to work at the
Cemetery?
