Natural forces reflection
1. Natural Forces Reflection
WildWeather Experiments:
My favorite weather experiment was air pressure because it was
funny to look at the egg flop into the flask. An important thing I
learned about weather was that lightning is made through water
particles rubbing against each other inside a cloud charging up so
much until they cant stand each other so they jump onto the
earth, creating lightning. If I did more experiments, I would like to
know about how heat waves are made.
Scientific Report Writing:
I wrote scientific reports about air pressure, the water cycle,
static electricity and length. The easiest section to write is the
materials because you just have to list everything in points. The
hardest section to write is the conclusion because it is very long
and needs a lot of detail to make it good. I am proud of my
report on my report about air pressure because it was the first
report that I wrote. While writing these reports, I became better
at putting more detail and explaining the way things worked more
clearly.
Research:
The natural disaster I researched was volcanoes.
During the research, I found it easy to get a lot of information on
cause because a lot of books and websites concentrate on the
causes of volcanic eruptions. I found it difficult to research on
what we do in response to volcanic eruptions.I worked especially
hard a getting all the research correct and not making everything
up.The best sources of information were books. If I wrote my
speech again, I would try to put more gestures in it.
Delivering My Speech:
I am proud of my documentary because it has a lot effort,
research and teamwork.I worked especially hard at memorizing my
speech.Next time I deliver a speech I will try to memorize my
speech more and look into the camera.
What else?
During this natural forces unit I especially enjoyed working with
my friends, Ki Joo and Jake. After this unit, I might continue to
do some experiments.
