Brief comments about subsystems and the impact they have on the assessment is important here. Explain that these are all elements that students will explore in depth through out the course clinical experience.

This would be a great place to encourage students to enjoy the first clinical. If students take the time to really look, listen, and palpate the pulse of the areas they are in their ability to assess will be enhanced and their insight will develop as their perspective begins to broaden.
