Responsibilities involve the management of a team of managers and support staff of the
Architectural, Estimating, Bidding and Purchasing Departments of the Centex Homes
Maryland Operations.
Manage the Maryland Constructions Services Team in the development and coordination
of all B & M budgets for all product lines.
Developed and established the custom option databases for the Division over the last
Six years.
Developed a comprehensive Sales Catalog for the enhancement of Project and Selection
Center Sales.
Manage the costing and setting of selling prices for all options for the single and multi-
family operations in Maryland, VA and ES.
Helped establish and manage the Rebate Programs for the Division and Region. In the
last several years Centex Homes DC Operations has brought in over three million dollars
in rebates per year. Leading the company for over 5 years in this task.
Managed the “Buildwithcentex” web page for internet bidding and vendor
Communication for Centex Homes DC Operations.
Spear headed a group of managers with the task of the implementation of a Corporate
Estimating, Purchasing and Sales Systems that will combine with the new SAP
Accounting Software this year for the DC Operations.
Developed and managed an estimating system by creating over 400 assemblies and
over 50 - “Pick One Groups” to work in conjunction with the Corporate EV2 Purchasing
System to master the unitization of all product housing lines. The unitization of the
product lines was showing great strides in lowering the B & M costs.
The Maryland Construction Services Team maintained high profits by aggressive
estimating, purchasing and contracting for the Maryland Operations over the last six
years, making the Maryland Operations one of the better operations in the country.
Maryland Operations 2007 Achievements:
The Maryland Management Team has kept the Centex Maryland Operations profitable
this year while maintaining continued margins over 20% for our multiple product lines.
The Maryland Management Team has maintained a 9.0 or better JD Powers Score.
The Maryland Management Team was number one in the Corporation C.O.R. scoring in
the nation.
3. The Maryland Operations achieved all corporate deadlines for the implementation of the
unitized Corporate EV2 Estimating, Purchasing and Purchase Order Systems by January
1st of this year.
Awards: Purchasing Employee of the Year - 2001. DC Metro Division Employee of
