2. Presentation of the theme
I chose the theme of the defense of animals against the breeding of fur
factory farms to denounce the living conditions of these animals.
Animals are put in cage sometimes for them whole lives in unhealthy
places. The methods used on fur factory farms are designed to
mazimize profits, always at the expense of the animals. The anguish
and frustration of life in a cage leads many animals to self-mutilate
and even cannibalize their cagemates. Animals have no protection
from bone-chiling cold, driving rain, or sweltering heat. Parasites and
disease run rampant on fur farms, making these animals’lives even
more unbearable. The fur farmers care only about preserving the
quality of the fur, they use slaughter methods that keep the pelts
intact but that can result in extreme suffering for the animals.

3. • The consumers of clothes in furs must know that
the fur farmers don’t respect regulations in the
conditions of breeding which is to make sure of a
good state of health and maintenance for animals.

in their collections, or those who wear it, must take responsibility for
the way that their product has been produced.
Over seven months, 30 fur farms, seven hours of footage and one
and a half thousand photographs, Animal Defenders International
investigated a random sample of Finnish fur farms. This
investigation exposes the terrible suffering that is part and parcel of
the fur industry.
