All Standard and Advanced partners will be listed in the new AWS Partner directory, when it re-launches later this year. This new directory will provide prominence to Advanced tiers listings, and will allows both Standard and Advanced partners to highlight their Solutions and Case Studies on AWS.
So how can your firm get started? Applying for pre-qualification to APN’s Standard and Advanced tiers is easy. Just go to the APN Upgrade form at the URL on this slide, self-report on your firm’s current compliance with the program requirements, and you will be contacted by an AWS staff to discuss next steps. Importantly, completing this form does not guarantee that your firm will pre-qualify for APNs Standard or Advanced tiers. It will however let the APN team know your firm wishes to pre-qualify for either the Standard or Advanced tiers and will help us start the pre-qualification review process for your firm.If your firm is accepted for pre-qualification to APN’s Standard and Advanced tiers your firm will be among the first AWS partners (ever) to be publicly designated as an APN Standard or Advanced partner when the program is fully activate later this year.
Rachel: Thanks for the program overview Justin, very helpful. As discussed, we’ll now take some time to answer a few questions from partners. If you have a question regarding APN, feel free to submit it via your webinar console. If we aren’t able to get to your question during the webinar, we will follow-up with you directly after the webinar to make sure your question is answered. During this Q&A phase, if your firm wishes to apply for pre-qualification as a Standard or Advanced partner, feel free to complete the APN Upgrade Form at the URL provided on this slide. After you have complete this form a member of the APN team will contact you regarding next steps. Question #1: Okay, Justin, it looks like our first question is regarding the credits provided to partners under APN. Could you give us a bit more detail on those? Justin: Sure thing. Under APN all partners that qualify for the Standard and Advanced tiers will receive $2,000 in credits. These will include $1,000 in general AWS Service credits applicable to any AWS service listed on the AWS products page, plus $1,000 in credits toward the AWS Premium Support required under the program. Any unused portion of these credits will expire 1 year after their grant date. These credits are really important, because they basically mean that the program is zero cost for any Standard or Advanced partner spending over $2,000 per year on AWS.

Question #2 - Rachel: Makes sense. Alright the next question is regarding the training required under APN. Could you provide some additional detail on that?Justin: Yep. Under APN all Consulting Partners at the Standard or Advanced tiers are required to have a minimum number of AWS-trained technical and non-technical staff. Standard Consulting partners are required to have at least 2 AWS-trained technical staff and 2 AWS-trained non-technical staff. Advanced Consulting Partners are required to have at least 5 AWS-trained technical staff and 5 AWS-trained non-technical staff. The goal of these training requirements is to make sure that all Standard and Advance Consulting partners have a team of folks who are deep on AWS and can serve as a Center of Excellence within each partner firm in helping end-customers take advantage of AWS. For staff to receive credit for AWS Technical Training, they must have completed either the “Architecting on AWS” course or the “AWS 200” course offered selectively by the AWS Alliances team. For staff to receive credit for Non-Technical Training, they must have passed the online quiz, which is part of AWS’ new online Non-Technical Training offering now available in the ??section of the AWS site. Partners will be granted credit for past completion of AWS training, so feel free to report those staff when submitting the APN Upgrade form. The APN team will collect details on your firm’s past training as part of the pre-qualification process.
Rachel:Greetings and welcome AWS partners. Thank you all for taking time out of your busy schedules to participate in today’s important partner-only webinar. As mentioned in the webinar invite, we have a very special announcement to make today regarding the AWS partners ecosystem. We are joined by Justin Burks, who is Program Manager for a new global program called the AWS Partner Network (APN) or APN. This new program is designed to accelerate the success of all partners on AWS and help customers connect more easily with high-quality AWS partners around the world. Justin is going to say a few words about the new APN program, and then we will open the session up to partner questions. If you have a question, feel free to enter via the questions section of the webinar console. Without further adieu, and please welcome Justin Burks.Justin:Thanks Rachel and thanks again to everyone for signing in to today’s webinar. As Rachel mentioned, we wanted to take some time today to walk our existing partners through the new AWS Partner Network and answer any questions.APN will be made live on the AWS site within the next day or so, and will replace AWS’ current Solution Provider program later this year, so its important that all current partners understand what APN is and how they can take advantage of it. We have received very positive feedback from partners on APN and we are very excited to roll it out this year, so today’s session is the first step down that road.
