Question 2:
How does your media product
represent particular social
groups?
By Gemma Barrett
I dressed my models in stylish clothing to appeal to my
target audience. I made my models look trendy and like
stereotypic teenagers. I used a bold looking font to make
my magazine loud and give it a chatty feel. In my contents
page I used chatty slang language and including some text
language. I also used words that teenagers would
stereotypically use like ‘snake’ to refer to someone who
backstabbed them. I’ve used the pictures, fonts and
colours to aim at a young chatty trendy audience. I
represented my models as stereotypical females using
pinks and purples and dressing them in girly clothing.
