Многие привыкли слышать: "Хотим в проект (на С++) встроить скриптовый язык для простого добавления точек кастомизации проекта". Обычно новые технические запросы обусловлены запросами бизнеса. В моем случае запросом служила необходимость очень быстрого появления аналитики в проекте. Стандартным выбором у С++ разработчиков является скриптовый язык lua, но на мое решение повлияло богатство библиотеки для машинного обучения на python. При интеграции С++ и python возникли проблемы, связанные с размером и сложностью кастамизации run-time python. Как мне удалось совместить в проект С++ и python и с какими проблемами мне пришлось столкнуться -- обо всем этом будет рассказано в моем докладе.

In the 9+ years that I have been a professional developer I have always taken an interest in DevOps and have been the "server person" for most of the teams I have been a part of. I would like to teach others how easy it is to implement modern tools to make their everyday development and development processes better. I will cover a range of topics from "Stop using WAMP/MAMP and start using Vagrant", "version control isn't renaming files", "Automate common tasks with shell scripts / command line PHP apps" and "From Vagrant to Production".

I haven’t done any interviewing for a while but I went through a period of growth in one of the companies I worked for where we were feverishly expanding the development team, so we had to be a little more systematic in our approach to interviewing. Instead of just having an open conversation with candidates to see where it led (which is what I’d previously done in such situations), I wound up preparing a ‘standard’ set of questions. It took a few goes, but eventually I settled on a favourite question for the technical portion of the interview: "When I pull up my favourite Internet browser, type “google.com” into the address bar, and press return, what happens?" I reckon it’s a doozy of a technical question. There’s so much breadth and depth in that answer. Let's dig into it a bit more...

In this talk, I'll first talk about why should we build Full Stack Monitor and Notification with Prometheus and Grafana. I'll share my personal experience about monitoring network devices, physical machines, virtual machines, docker containers, Middleware (Ex. Apache Cassandra, Apapche Kafka, CNCF Fluentd) and Application metrics. I'll demonstrate an End-to-End Data Pipeline Dashboard with Docker Compose examples and introduce different kinds of Prometheus Exporter used for different monitor targets.
