Overall Brief
Your organisation BC Films has asked you to plan and pitch a new idea for a
British film.
You will need to research the structure and organisation of the UK film industry,

the Were-Rabbit, Flushed Away, The Pirates!)

A production schedule involves working out how you can produce the product
within a given time so that you meet the deadline! You need to be organised as
the more you do this things will inevitably change and become altered but the
plan will help you to still maintain a working deadline. This production schedule
must be completed at the beginning of the production. You will need to know the
following:
• How will you organise the production process?
• What resources will you need?
• What is the overall deadline?
• What is the contingency plan?
Legal and Ethical Issues
You will need to consider some aspect of legal and ethical issues such as copyright
and the BBFC who will decide on the final rating.
You should also think about what type of music you will use (if it has been
especially written for the film or if you are using existing music). Look at the
Performing Rights Society to check about copyright clearances.
