This document provides information about Cub Scout Pack 86 for the 2012-2013 year. 2. PURPOSE
âï⯠The Cub Scouting program has 10 purposes related to the
overall mission of the Boy Scouts of America â to build
character, learn citizenship, and develop personal fitness:

4. Pack Committee
âï⯠Make recommendations to the chartered organization for final
approval of pack leadership.
âï⯠Recruit the Cubmaster and one or more assistant Cubmasters,
with the chartered organization's approval.
âï⯠Provide adequate and safe facilities for pack meetings.
âï⯠Coordinate the pack's program and the chartered organization's
program through the chartered organization representative.
âï⯠Help with pack charter renewal.
âï⯠Supervise finances and equipment.
âï⯠Work closely with the Cubmaster.
âï⯠Ensure that all Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts
receive a year-round, quality program.
âï⯠Complete pack committee Fast Start Training and Basic Leader
Training for the position.
âï⯠Conduct, with the help of the Cubmaster, periodic training for
parents and guardians.

âï⯠Our goal is to do one big fundraiser that will help
reduce our costs for the entire year.

8. Meetings
âï⯠Pack 86 follows the school calendar.
âï⯠Every Tuesday 7pm here at the church.
âï⯠Please wear your uniform with your Pack t-shirt
underneath.
âï⯠Parents are required to stay for the meeting.
